Tough Decision wins on debut and success for Sweet Horizon
Abdulla Al Mansoori’s homebred Tough Decision over came greenness to land the Band D restricted novice at Brighton on Tuesday.
Ridden by Jack Doughty, he came from last to first to win hands and heels by a length and looks a nice prospect for next season.
Yesterday, Sweet Horizon gained a deserved first win when taking a 1m2f handicap at Bath.
Owned by the Greenacre Partnership, the daughter of Lope Y Fernandez got up in the dying strides under Jack Mitchell having been short of room with a furlong to run.
Tom said: “It was great to see Tough Decision win – he is a home bred of Mr Mansoori’s – so extra satisfying and he did it with plenty in hand. Brighton is not an easy spot to go on debut but Jack has given him a good ride and he was well on top at the line.
“Sweet Horizon has been knocking on the door – we were disappointed with her run at Sandown last time out but the ground was quite testing that day and prior to that she had been running well. She would have been an unlucky loser and it’s great to get that win next to her name.”
