Tabletalk and Over Spiced were both successful in novice events over the past few days.

Owned by Abdulla Al Mansoori, the son of Camelot was third on debut at Kempton in December and stepped up on that to win the 10 furlong Novice at Chelmsford in good style. He was always well to the fore under Ross Ryan and came home under hands and heels to win by three lengths.

Over Spiced was unlucky not to win on debut at Brighton three weeks ago but she made amends when taking the 5f restricted novice at Leicester on Saturday evening. She was given a strong ride by Joanna Mason and knuckled down well to win by half a length.

Tom said: "It was great to get another couple of winners on the board last week - Tabletalk has the potential be a nice staying horse. Over Spiced was our first 2yo winner of the season - she did it nicely."
