IT has been a good couple of days with Rocking Ends and Desdemona hitting the target.

A winner at the July Course is always special and Rocking Ends benefitted from a top-class Kieran Shoemark ride to win the 5f handicap on Friday evening.

Owned by Colin Westley, it was the son of Havana Grey's second win in four starts since joining us and he looks a sprinter in good form.

Desdemona looked all speed when winning the 5f Restricted Novice at Lingfield this afternoon under Billy Loughnane.

The daughter of Showcasing made every yard of the running blitzing her rivals to win by three lengths.

Tom said: "Rocking Ends needs to get cover and when he does he looks smart and Kieran rode him perfectly. He's very quick and needs a fast pace to aim at.

"Desdemona got stuck in the mud at Catterick last time out but she looked all speed today and won in smart style."
