Photosynthesis and Thebeautifulgame hit the target
The former, a son of Acclaim, gave the Rogues Gallery another Saturday winner when taking the 6f three-year-old handicap at Lingfield's Winter Festival. Ridden by Jack Mitchell, he was always well positioned close to the pace and handled the idiosyncrasies of the track well. When Jack switched him out up the straight he showed a good turn of foot to hit the front, passing the post a length and a half to the good.
Jack was also aboard Thebeautifulgame who returned to the winners' circle when taking the £25k ten-furlong handicap. Despite being draw in stall 15, Jack was able to adopt a good position in the midfield. He had a willing partner when the taps were turned and TBG ran on strongly to win by half a length.
Tom said: "Full marks to everyone at home - the horses are in good form and it's great to start the season off so well. Photosynthesis is a lovely straightforward sprinter who should be plenty of fun for the Rogues.
"Thebeautifulgame hasn't had a lot of luck recently but she seemed in great form at home. She deserved to win another race and to bag such a valuable prize is a real bonus."
