Memorable August comes to a close with Windsor double
The month drew to a close with a double at Windsor on Saturday evening courtesy of Crown And Two and Spinney.
Crown and Two took his record to the perfect two from two when winning the 6f novice under a penalty under David Egan.
The son of Sergei Prokoviev again looked all class winning in style for his enthusiastic owners.
David was also on board Spinney who was winning for the first time when landing the closing 1m3f handicap.
The daughter of Advertise relished the underfoot conditions and went on to score by over three lengths.
Tom said: “The horses have been in excellent form – Crown and Two looks an exciting prospect – winning a novice under a penalty is never easy but he has done it well.
“Spinney relished to soft under foot conditions and I was thrilled to see her win for her owners. Hopefully she can continue to progress into the autumn.
“It has been a productive month for the team – the 2yos have been going well and Al Nayyir’s win at York was very special. The team at home are doing an excellent job and hopefully we can keep the horses in this form for the last couple of months of the season.”
