Luna Celeste in last gasp success

LUNA Celeste got up in the dying strides to gain a fist win in the 6f fillies’ restricted at Leicester on Monday.

The daughter of Kodi Bear, owned by Gill Whight, looked an unlikely winner at half way but she stayed on strongly to win in the shadows of the post under a strong Saffie Osborne ride.

Tom said: “She deserved that – she has been second twice over 6f but she looks as though her future will be over further. She has a lovely attitude and seems to really enjoy her racing.

“Saffie has really given her an excellent ride and I am delighted for her owner Gill.”
