Group 3 win for Fuel The Jet and Hamda off the mark

FUEL THE Jet continued on his upward trajectory with victory in the Group 3 Somerville Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket.

Owned by Olly Humphrey, the son of Space Blue has now won three of his five starts and looks an exciting colt.

He tracked the leaders under Neil Callan before quickening up well coming out of the dip, going on to win by a length.

Tom said: “He is a talented colt – he is really growing up and has shown a smart turn of foot there. To win a group race at our home track is very special – the team at home have done a great job with him.”

A couple of days later Hamda’s Joy gained a first career win in the mile handicap at Brighton under Jack Callan.

The Khalifa Dasmal-owned filly has been knocking on the door all season and deserved this breakthrough success.
