GOD Of War looked an exciting prospect when winning a 7f- Novice at Doncaster on Thursday.

GOD Of War looked an exciting prospect when winning a 7f- Novice at Doncaster on Thursday.

Owned by Clipper, the son of Mohaather stepped up on his recent debut fourth to win in style under Danny Tudhope.

He was always travelling well in behind the leaders and came through stylishly to take up the lead with a furlong to run.

He remained green when hitting the front but galloped home strongly under hands and heels to win by a two lengths.

Tom said "We have always loved this horse. He's a strong colt who we hope has a bright future. The seven-furlongs suited well and the form from Yarmouth had turned out to be strong so we were hopeful he would get the job done today. He could be one for the Acomb at York."
