Fifty Nifty lands HQ prize
FIFTY Nifty looked a three-year-old on the up with a convincing win in the Class 2 seven-furlong hanidcap at Newmarket on Saturday.
Owned by Ollie Humphrey, the son of Ten Sovereigns was winning for the second time in 2024 and completed a four-timer for jockey Oisin Murphy.
He was ridden with confidence by Oisin who always had his mount travelling well in behind runners.
Once they hit the rising ground, Fifty Nifty showed a good turn of foot to get on top inside the final furlong, winning by half a length.
Tom said: "That was a nice performance - he didn't quite get home over a mile on easy ground at the July Festival so we were keen to drop him back in trip.
"Fast ground is important to him and he's a talented horse with plenty more to come."
