Deserved win for My Mate Roger

MY Mate Roger made light work of short odds to break his maiden at Hamilton on Thursday.

Owned by Moulton Racing and Cooleys, the son of Blue Point had been second on his four previous starts and deserved this breakthrough success.

He made every yard of the running under David Egan and never saw another rival, winning by six lengths.

Tom said : “He’s been a bit unlucky and bumped into some really good horses. It’s great to get his head in front and hopefully he can build on this confidence booster.”
